Seapoint, Roedean Terrace, Brighton
ENGLAND, Southern England & London, East and West Sussex, Brighton
Ref No: 13320a
Sleeps 7
Formerly a coastguard cottage, Seapoint is in a terrace of eight cottages with the most superb, panoramic views over the golf course to the Brighton Marina and the sea beyond that any holidaymaker could wish for. Justifiably this cottage claims to have "the best view in Sussex".
The three bedroom/two bathroom cottage, which is centrally heated, sleeps 6-7 people and has been completely refurbished to a high standard throughout. This includes a delightful sun-lounge extension with the same lovely views across the long south-facing garden to the sea beyond.
Roedean itself is a pleasant peaceful residential area on the eastern outskirts of Brighton, situated halfway between the famous girls School and the Kemp Town area of Brighton. There are walks in all directions - a popular one being to the lovely old downland village of Ovingdean. The many varied shops and restaurants in the town are only about 1 mile away, approx. 10-15 mins by bus. However in Brighton Marina Village - much closer by - you will find a good selection of quality shops, restaurants and pubs (in a waterside setting) together with a large ASDA supermarket and an 8-screen cinema. Lying between the cottage and the sea is a miniature golf course which is very popular with visitors. Buses into Brighton's town centre run regularly along the seafront road. The famous undercliff walk is easily accessed by walking across the golf course towards the sea and you can walk in either direction towards Saltdean in the east or as far as Hove to the west.
Top floor bedroom with double bed, en suite shower room and large roof windows giving excellent views of the sea and Brighton Marina. First floor bedrooms - front room with double bed, portable TV, vanity basin, wardrobe and dressing table, and the back room with twin beds, wardrobe and dressing table. Bathroom with basin, WC and bath (with shower over). Downstairs is a large kitchen/dining room, including a fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, filter coffee maker, electric cooker, dining table and chairs and an Edwardian sideboard. Off this room is a small utility area with a washing machine and tumble drier, plus WC and a hand basin. The sitting room contains a three piece suite, coffee table, a coal-effect electric fire and a colour TV with limited digital facility offering you a range of additional channels, video, also a stereo radio/cassette/CD player - sliding doors from this room lead into a lovely sun-lounge with full height double glazed windows offering a unique and restful view of Brighton Marina and the English Channel beyond. There is a Z-bed available to sleep a 7th person. Outside there is a large patio (a real sun trap) with barbecue, garden table, parasol, chairs and two sunloungers where you cannot fail to unwind from the pressures of modern living or from a busy city working life. A south-facing garden/rockery and steps lead down to a small car parking area. This garden is fully fenced and completely dog escape-proof. A small rear garden with washing line.
