Explore the beautiful Herefordshire, South Shropshire and Welsh Border countryside from the comfort of one of our five comfortable and well-equipped holiday cottages, two of which are suitable for less mobile guests (National Accessible Scheme level 1).
Warm, welcoming, well equipped and surrounded by farmland and woodland with lovely views and splendid walks from the door, Mocktree Barns are an ideal base for exploring the delightful countryside of South Shropshire, Herefordshire and mid-Wales, one of the few ‘Tranquil Areas’ left in England.
Enjoy the courtyard and gardens while red kites soar overhead and the bees buzz gently in the sun. Mediaeval Ludlow is just 7 miles away with its enviable reputation for excellent cuisine and festivals. Hereford, Shrewsbury, Ironbridge and Worcester are all an easy drive away.
There are many pretty villages, fascinating castles, historic churches and National Trust properties for you to explore. We provide maps and local information to help you enjoy your holiday to the full.
Guests are welcome to enjoy our wildlife friendly gardens and the courtyard with tables and chairs for eating outdoors in the summer.
Our small wildflower meadow is now thriving and we are actively involved in promoting Green Tourism. Spring visitors can enjoy our profusion of cowslips.
In addition to accommodation, we can also offer "Discovery Walking Holidays" for groups. This is an opportunity to spend a few relaxing days learning more about the local landscape and wildlife with experienced tutors/walk leaders.
