3 Canalside, Stoke Bruerne
ENGLAND, Heart of England, Northamptonshire, Stoke Bruerne
Ref No: 14278
Sleeps 4+cot
Formerly a millworker's cottage, 3 Canalside was built about 160 years ago. It stands in an unrivalled position in the centre of the picturesque village of Stoke Bruerne, overlooking the Grand Union Canal and the locks. No traffic other than the colourful narrowboats on their way through the flight of seven locks will pass your door. The one and three quarter mile long Blisworth Tunnel is five minutes' walk away.
You can choose to enjoy the peace and quiet of this unique waterway location, explore its historic canal heritage, take a boat trip or just be absorbed by the comings and goings of this bustling canal community.
The cottage provides, on four levels, comfortable accommodation for four in a property of enormous character. Two bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin). The living room at canal level is furnished with settee and armchairs round the open fire. A small winding staircase leads down to the basement which has been converted into a good size fully equipped kitchen/dining room with a vaulted ceiling.
Well situated for visiting many nearby stately homes. Available all year round.
