Wilsey, Gawthrop, Dent
ENGLAND, North West & Lakes, Cumbria, Gawthrop, Dent
Ref No: 13709
Sleeps 6
The cottage is in Dentdale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park; one of the smallest and quietest of the dales. The scenery is stunning and Dent village boasts cobbled streets and whitewashed houses. Dent station, the highest in England, runs along the top of the dale on the Settle/Carlisle line and regular services provide days out in both Leeds and Carlisle. The cottage is also ideally located for trips to the Lakes (30 minutes by car) or to Wensleydale, Skipton and further afield.
This converted 17th century building nestles into the hillside along a quiet country lane, just a mile from Dent, with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. It has a large entrance hall, a sitting/dining room with table for 6 and original stone chimney housing a multi-fuel stove, and fully equipped kitchen. Upstairs are 3 spacious double bedrooms and a bathroom. Beds are supplied with duvets, pillows and bedlinen. Outside is ample room for several cars, barbecues and relaxing in the sun.
