Daffodil Cottage is a converted farm building in the grounds of Thatched Farm, which has been sympathetically renovated whilst retaining its original character and charm.
The ground floor has a newly fitted kitchenette including fridge, electric oven, hob and microwave, an open-plan living/dining area with comfortable seating and a separate, newly fitted shower room.
Up the winding oak staircase is a very pretty galleried mezzanine double bedroom. There is a separate steep staircase to a single mezzanine bedroom (these stairs are not suitable for children under 7 or anyone with mobility difficulties). There is also a sofabed.
Laundry room on site, free wireless internet access and ample parking.
Thatched Farm is a charming, Grade ll listed property surrounded by open countryside in an Area of Outstandng Natural Beauty. Nestling in its own 1.9 acres of beautifully maintained gardens, it is just 5 minutes from Woodbridge on the Heritage Coast. Dressed in traditional Suffolk pink colourwash with partially thatched roof, Thatched Farm is believed to date from the 17th century and has since been carefully renovated to provide bed & breakfast accommodation and self-catering holiday cottages.
Situated between the village of Waldringfield and Woodbridge on the River Deben, it is only a short drive from the concert halls at Snape, Framlingham Castle, the quaint Victorian seaside spa town of Southwold, Sutton Hoo, and historic Aldeburgh. There is nearby bird-watching at RSPB Minsmere and the lively hub of Ipswich with its high street shopping and quayside dining is within easy reach.
