Black Bull Barn, Kirkby Stephen
ENGLAND, North West & Lakes, Cumbria, Kirkby Stephen
Ref No: 13597
Sleeps 2 - 4
Black Bull Barn is a completely self-contained, single storey apartment with facilities for 2-4 guests.
The cosy lounge with coal-effect fire and sofa-bed is warm and welcoming. The kitchen is bright and includes a small dining area.
The bedroom has a large double bed and looks out onto an internal courtyard. The whole barn is centrally heated and stays comfortable and warm during cold periods and yet its thick stone construction helps to keep it cool when the weather is hot.
There is an en suite bathroom with a beautiful corner bath with shower; towels and all linen are included in the barn rates.
Kirkby Stephen is set in one of the most beautiful places in the entire UK. It offers so many attractions and its location in the Eden Valley, near the Lake District and next door to the Yorkshire Dales, allow it to draw on an unusually extensive range of sights and places to visit. The town's friendly Tourist Information Centre gives out very helpful information, tailored to your particular requirements.
There are many lovely walks in Kirkby Stephen and the surrounding areas. Stenkrith Park is just a short walk away, where from the Millennium Bridge you can experience the spectacular views of whirlpools and rapids below as the river passes through a rocky gorge. The footpath takes you onto a mile of disused railway path over several magnificent viaducts and back to Kirkby Stephen through the charming village of Hartley.
- Short breaks for a minimum of 2 nights are available
- Even though Black Bull Barn is located in the centre of the town, private parking is available
- Visit nearby 12th Century Pendragon Castle, on the River Eden in the beautiful Mallerstang valley
- Vintage bus to Hawes market and Barnard Castle every Wednesday in summer
