Holiday cottages in Worcestershire
For the less energetic there is the cathedral city of Worcester, the industrial heritage of Bromsgrove and Redditch, the market towns of Pershore, Droitwich Spa, Tenbury Wells and Evesham, the Severn, Teme and Avon valleys. Or spend some time browsing the famous bookshops of Hay-on-Wye. The southern part of the county is still in the Cotswolds and the village of Broadway is often cited as one of the most typical and picturesque of the Cotswold villages, with its beautiful mellow Cotswold stone buildings. Typical Worcestershire holiday cottagesThere are plenty of character cottages available for holiday rental in Worcestershire, in the South they may be built of traditional Cotswold stone with heavy slate roofs; as you move North you'll find timbered and half timbered cottages, with exposed beams, open fires and sometimes thatched roofs real English country cottages. If you are looking for a rural retreat you'll find holiday cottages on farms, often in converted barns and outbuildings. Look for working farms where you can really feel part of the countryside, these often come with the added bonus of excellent access to country footpaths.
