The Channel Islands – made up of the islands of Guernsey, Jersey,
Alderney, Herm and Sark – offer a marvellous combination of warm
climate, superb beaches and pretty countryside that make them an ideal
cottage holiday destination. Perfect if you want to go overseas without
going abroad!
They are in fact closer to France than England and part of their attraction
is their isolation and tranquility. Walking, cycling, birdwatching and
golf are all popular holiday activities and there is no shortage of
good eating places on the islands.
Channel Island cottage types

than for other locations in our West Country section, but there are
